and back. Boring basically. Cept of course for the cafe car. Just about turned my head inside out trying to suck up the vanilla shake (made the ones from McDs feel like plain milk) and the ham sammich was nice.
Rest have been NYP-Harrisburg round trips. First couple years it was through service with power change at Philly 30th St. Now going down I got a layover, coming up its through. Again boring. Specially once you pass Philly because youre providing local service.

Wed, August 25, 2004 - 9:18 PMI took Amtrack from SLC Utah to Denver Colorado... it was supposed to be like a 10 hour trip (give or take a bit) BUT!!!! we broke down right outside of Helper Utah (not the jumpin town you would think it was) and were stuck there for over 12 hours with no power, and no ventilation.. it owned... but I think I am training upto Portland in October .. -

Wed, August 25, 2004 - 11:41 PMI took amtrak for the first time to the Oakland Airport last weekend to fly to Portland.
On the way home, I was really hung over + tired and took the wrong train back. Ran all around the streets trying to find my car with no luck.
Asked the nearby officer parked on the street for directions, and realized I was at the wrong station.
Found my way back, got nagged by my chick, got some ass and passed out. -
